This is a work log that I started for the system that powers the website that you're reading right now.
At first I created this to make some throwaway content to use to test the features I was adding, but then it quickly reminded me of all the great reasons there are to get back to blogging regularly. As a result, I try to keep up with updates on this project to as high a degree of detail as I can muster. The self-referential aspect of this particular post train lends itself nicely to reminding me to blog about it whenever I continue to hack on any part of it.
This series of posts is very detailed, far beyond the usual level of detail that I strive for, and the style is casual beyond conversational, bordering on stream-of-consciousness at times. You have been warned; I am not applying much effort on this one to keep things short and sweet.
